TTRNZPRNT (pronounced transparent) became visible after an abandoned attempt at a reunion of the original lineup of The Hits, an eighties era band that featured Jimi Ambrose (Guitar/Vocals)and Casper Raines ( Bass/Vocals) This band had been a well known fixture on the NY tri-state scene in the eighties playing on bills with such artists as BonJovi, Twisted Sister, Angel City aka.The Angels among others. Several rehearsals in for the reunion, they found that the original drummer was not up to par to complete the project. Recording was set to begin in a couple of weeks in California with a very well known British glam rock star producing the sessions. Longtime band friend & ex manager for Enuff Z'Nuff, Tom Feeley, suggested veteran drummer Ricky Parent (Enuff, Z Nuff, Alice Cooper) to fill the drum spot . The recording was completed but the band split with their lead vocalist due to personal & contractual disagreements so these recordings remain unreleased. Since Jimi and Casper had written or co-written most of the songs & pushed by Ricky 's enthusiasm for the songs, they decided to head back to NY and form a new band.. Ricky brought in Lead Vocal chameleon, Jim Villani. The lineup completed, the band began recording with TJ Loughran and Jimi Ambrose producing, along with ace engineer and close friend of Ricky’s, Eric Gast ( Enuff Z'Nuff, Britney Spears, Samantha Fox) assisting on several songs. Sadly Ricky passed away just after completing his drum tracks for the bands first cd "Iced". Since Ricky Parent's untimely passing, the drum stool has been occupied by Danie Bedea whose credits include Deep Freeze a band in which Danie was replaced by Ricky Parent,( talk about things coming full circle). Danie has also played in the Richie Ranno Band (Starz) & SS Steele among others. Andy Meyer, a former cohort of Jimi from the Mirrors Image band has rejoined Jimi in TRNZPRNT on Guitar/Vocals for the new TRNZPRNT release "No Alibis". No Alibis takes a step forward from Iced. We've definitely rocked hard enough to break the ice with this one, however, no matter how hard the songs may rock lead vocalist Jim Villani is always guilty of throwing strong vocal melodies and catchy choruses on top of the earthquake inducing rhythms of Danie Bedea on drums & Casper Raines on bass and screaming guitars of Jimi Ambrose & Andy Meyer. What can we say TRNZPRNT has No Alibis and so should you!
