John June Year / Bio

John June Year is an independent rock band based in the Midwest that combine the sounds of influences like the Velvet Underground, the Strokes, and the Arctic Monkeys to create something new and wholly their own.

Formed during the Summer of 2012, the band has quickly progressed into a talented group of young musicians that place songwriting at the core of their focus. The songs have a very timeless, no frills, rock and roll sound that is intriguing and memorable to music lovers, but is also very accessible to the casual listener.

Where John June Year really excels is in the live setting. With a newly solidified five person lineup, the band creates a live experience that is truly exceptional. The catchy guitar hooks, clean and smooth bass lines, low-end heavy synths, and low-voice vocal delivery sets them apart from other contemporary indie rock bands.

The band looks to make a big splash this year touring, writing, and recording new music. John June Year are a band that everyone needs to keep their eyes on.
