Todd Lincoln Richards is a storyteller. He is an alternative country songwriter and performer. His influences include Harry Chapin, Doug Fieger, John Mellencamp, Steve Earle, John Hiatt, Warren Zevon, and Bruce Springsteen. Todd’s roots go back to farming in rural upstate New York. At the age of 18, he passed on a full-ride to college and headed to Los Angeles to write and perform. Todd spent his early days in a rock band, achieved regional success, but more importantly, he put hundreds of gigs under his belt, and experienced life’s extremes, both high and low. Now, Todd returns to the music dearest to his heart, story songs, songs with a message, songs that pay tribute to the everyday struggles and joys of simpler times, greener places, and the innocence in the wide eyes of a child.
In concert, Todd's show is like reading a book of short stories, with your ears. He engages the audience, welcomes them into his world, and the journey begins. The craft of songwriting is sacred to Todd, and it quickly becomes apparent. Todd Lincoln Richards is a wordsmith, a storyteller, and a troubadour. He is a prolific writer, often filling entire performances with nothing but new songs. Bring a friend, come early, get a good seat, enjoy the show.
