Don’t tell the Brooklyn, NY rock band UNDERWHELMED that writing about self‐revelation and deep‐
rooted inner struggle will make you soft. You won’t appreciate their response. UNDERWHELMED
has staked their career on writing songs that are conceived in the heart and come alive at the ears. It
looks like their direction is a good one. UNDERWHELMED sells out some of New York’s premier rock
clubs plus averages more than 10,000 hits a month on the Band’s MySpace page.
It seems that UNDERWHELMED has re‐established the essence of the true rock show ‐ visually exciting, musically aggressive and vocally charismatic. The Band’s live show is reminiscent of The Doors meets early Pearl Jam. On the road in the Mid‐Atlantic, Northeast or the Mid‐West, the results are the same – huge crowds, great shows, rave reviews.
UNDERWHELMED is currently touring in support of its second EP,
The War Between Myself and Me offers five strong selections (seven on iTunes), featuring highlights like “Freak”, “Angel” and “Something In Myself”, among others. It’s safe to say after listening to their latest EP, UNDERWHELMED is not only a strong live band, but also has the musical “goods”.
Contributor Nick from www.TuneLabMusic.com says, “Despite its title, ‘
The War Between Myself and Me‘ is no schizophrenic danger zone. Instead, Underwhelmed mows through seven songs of FM‐ready rock with jaw‐dropping professionalism.”
Alan K. Stout, of the Wilkes‐Barre, PA‐based paper
The Weekender says, “UNDERWHELMED offers a beefy brand of melodic and commercially accessible modern‐rock. Think Nickelback meets 3 DoorsDown ‐ big sound, big hooks and songs ready for radio. This band is ready to roll."
UNDERWHELMED steers clear of trends and musical mediocrity. The Band continues to stay true to their music and paints a story of pain and aggression in the face of personal triumph and persistence
