Worlds Divide began as a project called Selvent. Guitarist Dave Paulson brought the band to The Sweet Spot studio, where long-time friend and fellow guitar player Jimmy Fox began recording Selvent’s 1st EP. Jimmy brought such a defining influence that the band soon added him to the roster.
In the following months the band underwent many changes, including Kelly Wilson coming aboard on bass. Worlds Divide officially formed in the spring of 2011 when singer Mike Liguori joined to complete the lineup.
Worlds Divide hit the scene running, pulling large crowds and performing songs off the bands’ debut EP, En Requiem. The band has undergone several lineup changes over the years, with Alec Cusack being the most current new recruit into the Vocals slot. Alec brings a fantastic style and fresh ideas to the project, which will be reflected in the upcoming full length album. Fred Rabideau from Heroes Will Fall is currently assist with Drums until a permanent member can be found.
An amazing blend of musical influences, taking heavily from Speed and Progressive Metal and interlaced with overtones of Metalcore, Hard Rock, and sometimes even Death Metal, Worlds Divide is both brutal and beautiful, covering everything in between.
With a full length album in the works and an incredible live performance, Worlds Divide is poised to take the music world by storm. Exciting things lie ahead. We invite you to join us on our journey. We know you’ll enjoy the ride.
