Campo$ was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico on October 15, 1993 up until the age of four years old. Born in a poor family, Campos's family moved to Brooklyn, New York for about a year and shortly after they moved to Boston, Massachusetts.Campos grew up and spent most of his child hood in different parts of Boston.
Campos had to learn to become mentally and physically tough in the area where he was living. At a very young age growing up in the late 90’s, Campos was exposed to gang violence, drugs and alcohol, drug cartels and domestic violence.
In 2006, at the age of 13, Campos and his younger cousin started writing rap music. Campos became interested in drawing and listening to rap and hip hop because of his older brother. Rap music became an escape and sense of reality for Campos as he and his family continued to struggle in make a living in Boston. These were very difficult times for him and his family.
In 2010,Campos’s mom and sisters moved to the Orlando Florida area to start a new beginning. Campos made a decision to stay back and live in Boston because all he knew was the way of the street life with friends that he considered like family. While on his own in Boston, Campos realized that he needed to be in Florida with his family. He wanted to get away from the street life and racism that seemed to following him everywhere he went.
Moving to Florida with his mom and his sisters was one of the best decisions he made. Campos could focus more on completing his education and developing his talent in his music and in his art work. At times his mom has been both mother and father while going through all his transitions in life. Campos will never forget how his mom sacrificed what little she had for him to start with his music career.
Campos’s direction of music has always been about the negative and positive aspects of his life. His passion for music has been implied by his unspoken emotions that have been bottled up inside him since he was a youth. He doesn’t think of a topic when he writes. The words just come to him and he writes what he feels through the vibe of the sound that he hears. Campos isn't much into free styling because he writes his music to his perfection.
Campos wants other people to be able to relate to him through his music because of the struggles and circumstances he has experienced in his life time. He knows there is someone out there experiencing some of the same situations he did. Campos is a strong believer in God. He’s a very low key and soft spoken humble young man. He would rather give than receive. He enjoys spending time with his family. He is also interested in boxing, drawing, and painting. He enjoys listening to music such as R&B, Reggaeton, Hip Hop and much more. Campos is hoping that one day his talent in music will be recognized so he can take care of his family that supported him and push him to follow his dreams and ambitions.
