Chris grew up in South Eastern Iowa. At the age of eight, he gave his life to Christ and felt God pulling him towards something greater. Chris began leading worship at his home church as a sophomore in high school. Since college, Chris has been a Youth Pastor and Worship Leader. He has also been a self-taught guitar player for twelve years. Chris writes with a theological clarity and competency striving to plunge deep into themes of faith through his music. God has given Chris an urgency with not only sharing the Gospel but also with helping to draw people into the presence of God through music and spoken word in a world full of brokenness but that also faces great hope – the hope of Jesus Christ. Chris has been influenced by the likes of Third Day, Echoing Angels, Chris Tomlin, Jeremy Camp, Michael Card, DeGarmo and Key, Brian Doerksen, Paul Baloche and Brandon Heath.
