Metal band Purveyor has been active since March 2010, and is currently based in Pittston, Pa. Founding member Matt Bevan and later additions Matt Juice, Jesse Martin, and Andy Conley have worked with various local projects prior to Purveyor. Purveyor, as a Band was formed in 2010 and three former members. Juice was accepted into Purveyor in 2011, Jesse in 2012, and Andy in 2013.
Purveyor has played in a many venues through out Pa, De, NJ, and has even placed within the Top 20 of Project Independent’s Independent Metal Showcase landing them on a nationally distributed cd. (After the live performance, the grueling critique, and the month long on line voting contest, of course.) Metal Sanaz thought we kicked ass, and she said so in her interview of us. (Got proof of it on DVD) Purveyor has done multiple radio interviews, and has professional studio experience. Purveyor’s first Demo was recorded in January of 2013, quickly followed by a second in July 2013.
Purveyor’s ultimate goal is to create excellent metal music for the masses. We prove that the time-tested theory of song development creates the most desirable songs, even when working within the metal genre. Our work ethic shines through in our sound recordings and live stage show. We boasts rehearsing three times a week when it’s slow, and up to five times a week prior to important events.
Purveyor’s music is violent and brutal. Their influences are rooted deep within the soil of metal. They believe their influences shine through in their uniquely brutal sound. They have stated a secondary goal as simply getting 10,000 people to beat the snot out of each other while they play their set. The bands stage show has been described as intense, and energetic with plenty to watch.
Purveyor’s strength lies in our willingness to keep attempting what many say to be impossible and illogical. Our work ethic pays off, and we never miss a show anywhere. We go through the “pay your dues” period very quickly with many promoters. We enjoy tackling a challenge, because we love to do what we do… That is make music to make the masses move.
Purveyor has shared the stages with the likes of In this Moment, Shat, Killaton, Slapjaw, March to Victory, Cause of Affliction, The Curse of Sorrow, Von Kull, 20til8, Lionel Pryor, TheWay, Ethereal Collapse, Glass Skeleton Death March, Without A Martyr to name a few. We have shared these stages at Venues such as The Fusion Room, Jimmies Sports Bar, Dingbatz, Diane's Deli, Bankshots, Mother's Sportsbar, and more to come.
