The year of 1999… millennium’s eve… Two black souls Taus and Olga began to write their own chapter in the history of Russian black metal. SINFUL was the name of this blackened child that had become the incarnation of its creators’ potential, thoughts and ideas. The first live experience took place at the stage «R-club» in Moscow, June 2001. The following «MISANTHROPIA» gigs were DIY-ones and so we continued to organize various gigs further. Successful support for BEHEMOTH gigs in winter 2002 in Moscow and Brest (Belarus) initiated the beginning of active tour activity: Perm, Yaroslavl, Orel, Tula, Kamyshin, St. Petersburg. In summer 2004 the band was heading to the most famous Russian studio NAVAHO HUT RECORDS то record its debut album called “Omut”. This album was out 01.03.2005 through the Musica Productions label and had very warm feedback from fans and press. Moving further, the band participates in summer open-air fests METAL CROWD (Rechitsa, Belarus) and METAL HEADS MISSION (Yevpatoria, Crimea, Ukraine). After the successful appearance at the MHM fest the band had become a welcome guest in Ukraine. In February 2006 the band visited Ternopol, Lviv, Rovno, Cherkassy, Odessa, Vinnitsa, Khmelnitsky during the MISANTROPIC INVASION TOUR. There was a great historical even in Russian metal scene shortly before the “Ukrainian invasion” in November 2005! It was METAL SPIRIT RESURRECTION TOUR organized by musicians of the leading Russian metal bands such as SINFUL(Moscow), LITTLE DEAD BERTHA(Voronezh), ACT OF GOD (Perm), APOKEFALE (Tomsk, Seversk), MIND ECLIPSE(Yaroslavl), MURK EXORBITANCE(Ivanovo), SEPTICOPYEMIA(Ivanovo), CRYPTHOWL(Kaluga). This tour was the beginning of the “Metal spirit resurrection” movement. The main goal of this movement is to push the native extreme scene forward to its next step . The unicity of this tour was that the bands were organizing these gigs by themselves in their own cities and in nearby ones: Moscow, Kaluga, Voronezh, Ivanovo, Yaroslavl, Izhevsk, Perm. SINFUL’s line-up was changing from time to time but it didn’t stop the band’s evolution. Shortly before the first part of the MSR tours during the gig with ROTTING CHRIST Taus had become the front man of the band, so he had replaced dismissed Belf on the vocals. Moving forward the band takes part in the second and the third MSR tours during the 2006 in cities of Ural, Siberia and the central part of Russia such as Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg, Omsk, Tomsk, Barnaul, Novokuznetsk, Krasnoyarsk, Seversk, Orel, Samara, Ioshkar Ola, Nizhny Novgorod. By November 2006 SINFUL’s line-up had been changed one more time. Taus was forced to part with 2 members: Olga on keyboards and Master on bass. These circumstances had totally changed the sound of the new SINFUL. The second album called “The second coming” was more aggressive and monumental with its atmosphere than the previous “Omut” . The 3-track EP had been recorded at the same NAVAHO HUT RECORDS. By that time the line-up had been totally completed by musicians from the Permian band ACT OF GOD: Yog-Sothoth (drums) and Nazgul (guitar, bass). With this line-up the band took part in the fourth and the fifth parts of the “Metal spirit resurrection”. MSR-4 took place mostly in the central part of Russia: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Michurinsk, Lipetsk, Voronezh, Saransk, Samara, Ioshkar Ola, Kirov. Polish madmen from HATE were headlining this tour. MSR-5 had become the first “resurrection” abroad Russia. Ten major cities of Ukraine such as Kiev, Lviv , Poltava, Kremenchuk, Krivoi Rog, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Lugansk, Sevastopol, Odessa had been ruined by the real metal art. 2008 was the year of the another one line-up change for SINFUL. Members of the ACT OF GOD left SINFUL in January 2008. But this emptiness was quickly fulfilled by Krock on drums (who had been already playing during 2004-2007) and Xeper on bass (member of Moscow metal band FATAL BAND and ex- REST IN PEACE) . With this line-up SINFUL took part in MSR-6 through the middle and southern parts of Russia: Moscow, Orel, Lipetsk, Voronezh, Rostov-on-Don, Krasnodar, Stavropol, St. Petersburg. Once again MSR-6 was headlined by Polish HATE . 2009 was larked with the new step in SINFUL’s evolution. The new album called “The XIII-th Apostle” was recorded at one of the most prestigious studios in Poland – Hertz studio (known for the work with Vader, Decapitated, Hate) under the keen control of Wieslawsky brothers. Drums were recorded by Pawel "Paul" Jaroszewicz (drummer of Vader and Crionics). The release of the Russian version of this album is planned for the May 2010 through the own MSR Productions label. At the beginning of 2010 line-up had been fulfilled with new members. Andrey Ischenko took his place behind the drums. Moreover, during the support for the Swedish MARDUK Elvira Alchemida joined SINFUL behind keyboards (also plays guitars in Moscow all female band – BLACKTHORN). In Summer 2010, Sinful was confirmed to play on Metal Head's Mission Festival, taking place near a city of marine glory - Sevastopol, - again. The highlight of the same year was a Metal Spirit Resurrection tour vol.7, including 11 cities of Russia: Moscow, Kostroma, Yaroslavl, Vologda, Kirov, Perm, Tyumen, Magnitogorsk, Ufa, Tolyatti and Voronezh.
A new page of Sinful's history is now open thanks to MSR-8 tour that took place in February 2012. The band headlined their first European tour through eight Polish citites and towns: Bilgoraj, Zamosc, Sandomierz, Sanok, Bielsko-Biala, Poznan, Rzeszow and Przemysl. The Sinful ones formed an international line-up for this tour, featuring two members of HATE; Hexen (drums) and Mortifer (bass guitar) who made smashing rhytm section together. Beside of MSR-8 itself, one more important and long-awaited occurrence happened to Sinful; a Wroclaw-based studio Grupa 13, known for their work with Behemoth, filmed the band's first video clip, for the track "Forbidden Fruit" .
