Good Greens / Bio

After Zen met Tony Tocas (Percussionist) in a gas station one day, GOOD GREENS quickly began to take form. Starting out with a more Acoustic driven Reggae/Rap style the duo soon became 3 after inviting Rob Hau (Bassist) to come jam one day. Once the tree toking trio began recording the experimental acoustic style they had been honing, the group took another turn. After deboarding a plane in Las Vegas, Zen could hear his name being called thru the crowd of Holiday vacationers. It was Jared Asay (Lead Guitar). Soon the four were pumpin out tunes that had an acoustic Reggae/Rap pace with funky rock and psychedelic twists. They were getting somewhere quick. Faster than expected! Now calling themselves "Good Greens", the guys began to record there first 5 song Demo. Next thing they knew, GG was playing venues like Cheyenne Saloon and House of Blues Las Vegas. Eventually the band shared a show with a local DJ. "Day Won" or as we call him Randall Logan seemed to enjoy the vibe of GG and soon began playing sax, adding a new texture to the sound. Next to join the roster was Jeremy Bernero (drums). With another man on the sticks, Tocas was given room to move back to playing percs and GG began work on their Debut Album,"Best Buds". You can sample some of the tasty treats from "Best Buds" on Reverbnation.com or thru our Facebook page. Savor the latin flavor of "Ojos Rojos" or rock your fist to the Cannabis driven lyrics of Zen One and HighDro on "Yo Bizniz". Whatever your poison, there's a good chance you'll find a trace of it in this special strain of music homegrown and cultivated by your friends "Good Greens".
