Dark Season was formed in 2002 by Artax -guitar- and Mizar -bass-. At the beginning of 2003, the band produced their first single "To rise again" which included the tracks "From the grave" and "Dream". Once the single was released the band played a series of concerts in northern Italy as well as at "Skeleton Bash 2003" in Austria, supporting bands like Amon Amarth and My Dying Bride.
At the end of 2003, Dark Season were in the studio producing their new EP "Dark Season", recorded at Boom Room studio's in Wels, Austria. This did not stop the band from their incessant touring, however, and between 2004 and 2007 they conquered northern Italy.
A revolution for the band in 2007 was the addition on Cephei on the keyboard, combining heavy thrash/black music whit a much more electronic influence. After the addition of this new element, the band reached complete stability as the original members Artax and Mizar joined forces with Zaurak (vocals), Regulus (drums) and Neshmet (rithmic parts and solist).
The new line-up went straight on stage and, benefitting from this renewed stability and increased creative input, put themselves to work creating new tracks for their first album, "Cruel Domination", recorded at the Sound Control studio in Meran and to be released in 2010. The band playing in important local open-air like Stoaner Rock and Badia Rocks, with band like White Skull, Anguish Force, Outcry etc..
