Formed in Oct 2006 Hailing from the Massena NY on the Candian Border Guitarist Chris Maynard, drummer Jay Oconnell and guitar player Rob Campbell jammed for the first time. From the get go the goal was original material. In the following weeks vocalist Ronnie Greeleaf and bassist Buzz Smith rounded the band out. On March 10th 2007 VI played live for the first time to 250 moshing metalheads, from that point on VI has played shows.Over the year the band has had a number of lineup changes. We'd like to give a shoutout to all of the guys who have been in this band Greenleaf, Grimmy, Buzz,Rob,Curty,Al, and Pete. All of these guys are outstanding musicians and truly helped to share in the evolution of this band to what it is today. VI dropped 2nd guitar player toward the end of 2009 playing as a 4 peice until the end of 2011 when Grim rejoined the band. In 2012 VI parted ways with original vocalist Greenleaf, bringing new vocalist Matt Dishaw in the fold. Matt brings some brutal and powerful vocals to the band. Grim left the band in August for personal reasons. In September VI added second guitarist Cory Dunklberg into the band. Cory brings with him a style of thrash riffing that contrasts very well with the grinding riffs of Maynard, making this guitar duo a force to be reckoned with. Tracking for a 6 song demo(4 older songs and 2 new songs) to be released in January 2013. On the heals of this new demo will be a brand new EP of all brand new material. writing has been in progress for the last 3 months and so far the material is sounding brutal. We have shared the stage with many bands including Skinless, Vital Remains, Origin, Burning Human, Nefastus Dies, Wastform,Wolven Ancestry, Stemm, Forever in Terror, Green Jelly, Malomar, Mucopus and many many more. We would like to start playing in central and western NY this coming year as we have only played in Binghamton on this side of the state and would like a chance to share our version of metal with a larger crowd.
