Chris began playing guitar at the age of 32. Singing was not something he did too much, but all of his life he desired to be involved in music. Thanks to his Dad, some good friends, and YouTube, he began learning guitar. He did not buy into the notion that he was "too old" to learn an instrument. When he started, he could not even play a power chord. Now, Chris performs his Blues Gospel music in various churches as well as writing and recording songs out of his home. He gives all the glory to God for helping him to learn how to play guitar and how to write music.
Chris was called to preach and began his ministry at age 18. He noticed through the years that sharing the Word of God, through music, can really help someone's life at all levels. This is his desire for this music ministry. He wants to bring a "not so familiar" sound to gospel through a Blues-style of performance. It is his desire to take the peppy beats, slow progressions, along with guitar licks and solos that are found in Blues music, and use them to glorify God.
Chris was licensed by the American Baptist Association in 1996 and has served as Pastor, Interim Pastor, Youth Minister, and Supply Minister in churches around Southern Indiana. He currently serves as lead guitarist for Smithville Christian Church's praise team, located in Smithville, In.
