Rick has been touring and playing professionally many years with many great groups. He started out touring with a nine-piece horn band playing the Hammond B3 and Wurlitzer electric piano.
Rick travels lighter these days, playing a Yamaha Motif, and recently was the keyboardist for Charlie Redd and 'The Full Flava Kings'. Full Flava was voted the Best R&B group in Oklahoma for three years by 'Oklahoma Magazine'.
They often had guest artists on stage, such as the amazing Tori Ruffin, lead guitarist for Morris Day and the Time and Fishbone, and the late, great Waymon Tisdale would regularly jam on the bass.
One of the most memorable times for Rick was the night he was Chuck Berry's piano player at the Mabee Center in Tulsa. They brought down the house and had a night to remember.
During his career Rick has opened for many great bands and musicians including, Jerry Lee Lewis, 38 Special, The Doobie Brothers, Three Dog Night, George Strait, Brooks and Dunn, Tower of Power, and The Temptations.
Rick's other CDs before Blue Dirt Blues include Hard to Be (1999), Road Trip (2001) and the Blue Dirt Collection (2011). (Stacey Dee Music publisher)
