Moksha - Las Vegas' Secret Weapon
Explosive shows, filled with an arsenal of well-crafted material, have earned Moksha their reputation as Las Vegas' secret weapon. This well-oiled machine is now emerging from the glitz and glamour of Sin City and quickly garnering a solid following of loyal fans on the West Coast. With guitar, keys, bass, drums, and horns, this unique blend of musicians lives and breathes in a deep pocket of funk rock. Swirling in subtlety, their music paints a sonic landscape that unfolds in the moment and feeds on the dynamic ebb and flow of audience and band interconnection. In other words, they will melt your faces.
Recently, Moksha joined forces with guitar legend Brian Stoltz (Neville Brothers, Funky Meters, Bob Dylan and others) in the studio to record their first full length album, set to be released in early 2010. Moksha's modern sound combined with Stoltz's New Orleans flavor created a sound that can only be described as unstoppable.
In addition to Stoltz, Moksha has shared the stage with Yonder Mountain String Band, DJ Logic, Moe, Tea Leaf Green, Particle, STS9, John Molo's Moderiko, JGB with Melvin Seals, Jennifer Hartswick Band, Jerry Joseph, Wally Ingram, That 1 Guy and Skerick's Syncopated Taint Septet. The band has played up and down the Las Vegas Strip, including shows at the House of Blues, the Hard Rock Cafe, The Beatles Revolution Lounge and numerous events with the Las Vegas Jam Band Society.
