Mack Love rose up from the most notorious neighborhood in the nation, the Wild Wild 100s, on Chicago’s south side where street violence and drugs is common. It didn't take long before he got involved with gangs and street hustling, but nevertheless, always had an interest in Hip Hop music. He experimented with song writing and music production but never took it seriously until the day he heard Ice T's "I'm Yo Pusher", N.W.A.'s "Fuck The Police" and The Geto Boys "Balls And My Word". He immediately knew there was a place for him in Hip Hop where he could talk about the Wild Wild lifestyle. He quickly recorded and released songs that became underground hits such as "Smoked Like Herb", "Rush", "I'm So High", "Thugged Out", "I Saw Yo" and mixtape, "Uncut Freestyle Remixes" with guest features from some of Chicago's hottest artists. He shocked and excited listeners with his cinema sound and gangster flow filled with explicit lyrics. Overnight, Mack became known as one of the hottest producers and hardest rappers on the Chicago Hip Hop scene.
Recognizing the nature of the music business early on, Mack founded his own label, Wild Wild Records and publishing company, Mack Money. He produced and performed with local artists, selling his music independently hand to hand on the street and at clubs. Through the power of street buzz his music got spins on popular DJ's mixshows on college radio stations like WHPK, KKC and Chicago's major stations, Power 92.3 and 107.5 WGCI.
This grabbed the attention of promoters, landing him a performance opportunity to open for legendary groups Scarface, E40 and Buster Rhymes. Mack's reputation for performing quickly grew, opening new opportunities to perform at the legendary Apollo Theater as well as open for such artists Dr.Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kanye West, Common, Muzik, Future, R Kelly, Twista, Faith Evans, Mary J.Blidge, Lil Wayne, OutKast, Eminem, Ice Cube, Fat joe, T.I., Trina, Lil Kim, Too Short, Shawnna, Rick Ross, Etc. Mack has produced and performed international radio commercials for Colt 45 Malt Liquor, St. Ides Malt Liquor and Hennessy.
Mack’s current focus, Mack Music Group, under the umbrella of Wild Wild Records, is centered around producing music for national recording artists, TV shows and commercials, and film and radio.
Mack believes that anything is possible with God, a positive attitude, hard work, dedication and confidence.
