Lyricist and recording artist Fitz Fonzarelli always had a passion for creating good-feeling hip-hop music. Though his sound can be categorized as hip-hop soul, his goal is to make music that will resonate with genres throughout the world.Fitz Fonzarelli aims to describe the complete vision of his life experiences through lyrics, both the good and the bad. Raised in Gary, IN, he has been penning his thoughts lyrically since the young age of thirteen. A heartbreaking childhood injury changed his plans of becoming a hoop star, enabling him to turn his full passion to creating music. In 2008 he performed in the "Quality Control" tour which stormed Indiana colleges such as Vincennes University, Indiana University and Purdue University. He has recorded verses with The Beat Fakulty, an affiliation of several Midwest producers contributing different production styles towards a single mission to make timeless music. His 2011 debut mixtape Happy Daze meshes his lyrical strength with the soulful melodies of original and sampled production from Green the Genius, Hajj Prime, Frank the Tank, and Justraxx. Fitz Fonzarelli traveled to Philadelphia to record his single “Lights On”, produced by Jesse Black, featuring recording artist Ambition. The projects Heart of a King and Mind of a King contain exclusive and unreleased songs from Fitz Fonzarelli and his CoolieREV affiliates Sense the Beast and Hajj Prime. Both of these projects were released in 2012 to set the tone for the second installment in his Happy Daze mixtape series, titled Happy Daze 2, which was released in November 2012. His single "Lovestruck", also produced by Jesse Black, was featured on Season Two of 90210. His performance highlights include some of Chicago’s most famous venues for live hip-hop music. In 2012 he opened for lyricist Mos Def at The Shrine and performed as an opening act for legendary producer Just Blaze at the Double Door. He also opened for emcee Hezekiah at Reggie's Rock Room in 2013. Fitz Fonzarelli believes that “music is life,” with much of his writing influenced by the styles of Lupe Fiasco and Andre 3000. He is currently promoting his current project titled Happy Daze 3 available for download on DatPiff.com, featuring a verse on the song "Creep" from recording artist K'La the Lyricist. His first album The C.H.A.S.E. (Chasing Heaven Ain't So Easy) will be released in summer 2014.
