Gihyne (TapeDeckJet) Jetson / Bio

Gihyne (TapeDeckJet) Jetson is a lover of every element of art & believes it should be expressed from the pits of one's soul.

Gihyne Jet is not your regular producer/artist.

His strength as a producer is his ability to maintain an imaginary mind. He's more than just a beat maker. He's a rhythmic painter of visions!!

Born in Texarkana, Texas but raised in Little Rock, Arkansas but now residing in Houston. Music played a big role in Gihyne's life as a child. His parents listened to any & everything from blues, funk, r&b, soul, and gospel. Yet being from a younger generation Gihyne loved hip hop as well.

Michael Jackson, James Brown, Rick James, Prince, Zapp & Rogers, George Clinton, Earth, Wind, & Fire, Bob Marley, Steel Pulse, The Wailers, 2pac, Kurtis Blow all played a major part in Gihyne's love for music & performance. This is how it all begin with these artist etc.

Gihyne begin to take music serious at age 10! Beating on any & everything to make beats that were in his head. His grandmother was in opposition to Gihyne beating around her house, She would yell "Stop beating on that wall its only "SheetRock" lol, yet this never stopped Gihyne from wanting to tap a beat and bust a few rhymes.

Growing up as a band member from middle school to high school Gihyne started playing a hand-me-down flute that was passed down from his sister. It was agonizing due to the fact Gihyne wanted to play drums. In the 6th & 7th grade Gihyne played flute but later defied his mother by switching to drums 8th grade. Since then Gihyne has embraced the reality for his love for THE BEAT with a rhyme in mind.
