GT Hurley, Singer/Songwriter, breeds ranch raised Quarter Horses, under the shadows of the Crazy Mountains in Montana. Music is a way of life for GT, he has been playing and writing music for over 35 years. With multiple careers behind him, 20 years military, business owner, working cowboy, and a hard rock miner. Now a full time performer, GT travels the country playing his own brand of music. Making no excuses for his songs, playing from his heart, and living the West everyday.
GT was nominated by the Western Music Association, as one of the five finalists for the 2012 & 2013Crescendo Award. He has performed at festivals throughout the West from Lewistown, Montana, to Elko Nevada. GT has opened for entertainers such as Baxter Black and Jon Chandler, and has played the same stages as top performers Michael Martin Murphy, Dave Stamey, Juni Fisher, and Sons of the San Joaquin.
His first Album entitled “Tough Horses,” was produced by renowned Cowboy Entertainer, Dave Stamey. “Tough Horses” reached #1 on the Top 30 Album Play List for Western CD’s in the spring of 2013.
Currently GT has finished his new CD titled “War Horse,” due to release in early 2014. “War Horse” was produced by Brenn Hill and Ryan Tilby, recorded at Spiral Studios in St. George UT. The new CD promises to give the listener a unobstructed view into who GT Hurley is a songwriter, musician and an American.
