Prettier than Matt / Bio

“We pride ourselves on being cool enough for the edgy and sweet enough for the sensitive. Become a fan now, because if you’re trying to fight it, we will eventually catch up with you. Welcome aboard.” –Prettier Than Matt

Jessica Skinner and Jeff Pitts are much more than a couple of pretty faces and sharp personalities. They have some kick-ass talent to top it all off. In the two years the duo has been together, they’ve released a digital single called “Miss You,” performed their signature brand of music from South Carolina to Tennessee and opened for established acts like Danielle Howle, Jonas See In Color and Sister Hazel.

When asked how to describe Prettier than Matt’s sound, Skinner says, “If Bon Jovi and Alison Kraus had a baby, it would be singing our songs.” The sound, she said, is a lively Rock/Folk/Pop blend. Editor’s note: “Fock” has been unanimously chosen as the term to go with.

Although the awesomeness of Skinner and Pitts seems unending, there have been several reports of them using the help of an outside ghostwriter named Sid (after further investigation, the correct pronunciation is: “Siiiiiid”). This information can neither be confirmed nor denied. When questioned, the duo quickly changed the subject.

Ghostwriter or not, with talent, drive and shiny hair, Prettier than Matt will continue to finds ways to find an audience. Prettier than Matt will catch up with you. Editor’s note: A thorough investigation is being done on this Sid character. We will give more information as it becomes available.
