Rodrigo Valladares A.k.A "Rigo La Nueva Melodia" was born on April 10th, 1987 and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Parents emigrated from Central America in 1982 and he is the youngest of three children. Rigo "La Nueva Melodia," was first introduced to music at the age of three. He was given a boom box and a Spanish tape from his parents so that he would sing the songs to be able to pronounce Spanish words. At the age of ten he would sing in front of his family members for money to save up to buy new tapes. This helped out because of the changes that were always occurring in the music industry. In middle school he was involved in talent searches, and always raked one of the top finalists of the groups. By the time he was the age of six-teen and with the help of his uncle. Rigo was beginning to open up more to the music and learn how to utilize his talent.They would go through some vocal exercises to help him find notes to present his voice. By the age of eight-teen the reggaeton movement was beginning to rise and caught the attention of Rigo. As he began to listen more and more to the music he started became interested. He would sing mostly every song that was out on the market and knew who each artist was. It was at this moment that he decided to persuade a career and with help develope what is today Rigo "La Nueva Melodia." Today Rigo is working really hard writing his own songs with smooth lyrics and catchy hooks. Having tracks produced by well known producers such as Reggaeton Hitmaker, "Hancel," Rigo has caught the attention of many booking agencies around the country having done shows with big names such as Ivy Queen, Tito "El Bambino," Jowell y Randy, Nicky Jam, Coscuella, and Don Chezina. Rigo headlined in Philadelphia, California, and in Central and South America as well as drawing a big crowd at each and every show. With a positive attitude Rigo hopes to continue to help with the movement with hopes to inspire other artists to do the same.
