Duo that produces/promotes unorthodox genres of ambient, sacred, classical, electronica music - score engraving - an Indie studio - digital music production and live sound engineering.
Michael had musical training in classical piano and melodic percussion; taught himself guitars, and Native flute. In the late 80's and 90's, Michael played with several aspiring bands and musicians as a keyboardist. After some college, he applied his musicianship and audio recording skills to sound production for numerous performing arts programs - collegiate and professional.
After a 15-year sabbatical from anything music related, Michael started DDPRAZ STUDIO in 2008, to arrange and record music for his daughter, Moriah, to sing and dance. This evolved into producing performance tracks for other artists, instrumentals for media projects, and ambient, inspirational music for Christian worship.
D-D-Praz is all about fusing genres, to create a trans-genre of Classical Electronica - a “new sound” - for the employment of music. The band “not in a box“ is not just a digital production studio, and not just a "band." Michael's classical music interests involves much research and digital restoration of obscure Baroque/Classical scores for publication and transcription. He continues to play keys in various bands - from Christian Rock to Folk - as well as engineers live sound for various venues: bands and music festivals. By 2012, Michael had established an at home studio - DDPRAZ STUDIO, an ASCAP publisher; himself being is an ASCAP composer.
