Few people have the ability to formulate a career and build a life with their passion as a foundation. Errick Lewis is one of the lucky few. Music has been for him a life force, a release, a passion, a source of joy, as well as a dream occupation. Raised in a musical family, Errick began playing drums at age 8 and bass 15. A self taught musician, he went on his first tour playing and drums at age 13 for gospel stars Kurt Carr and Hesikiah Walker. He began to learn and experiment with different kinds of music - funk, R&B, rock, and hip hop - and developed versatility unlike most. At age 16, Errick entered the hip hop scene as a dancer and musician for Tyrese. Since then, Errick has worked with a range of reputable musicians - Jay-Z, Common, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Snoop Dogg and he most recently toured with the Wu Tang Clan. To add to his already stellar repertoire, Errick has also worked with R&B/Soul artists such as Stevie Wonder, D'Angelo, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Raheem DeVaughn, and Mike Phillips.
With sponsorships across the board, from Spector Basses, and Epifani Custom Sound, Errick has made a name for himself and built a reputation for being able to execute an artist's requests to their exact specifications. A real natural talent that shows in his music, he puts passion into each chord, and love into every drum beat and bass line. His entire life has consistently included music, and he still now continues to better himself and his skill on a daily basis. He is an extremely motivated individual who continuously raises the bar and expectations he has set for himself. He has affected the music industry already with instrumental undertones, but it is safe to say that the spot light will soon turn all attention to Errick Lewis.
