Somewhere between indie and americana, the songs here represent a vision of a true solo artist. One who loves a good song melody and lyrics that touch the mind and the heart. For me, music has always been a passion that I've never compromised. At the core of the various styles on the recent EP album “Odyssey” is the chugging heart of an endearingly earnest craftsman.
The songs paint portraits of soul-searching individuals that travel through the misty field of electronics, folk-rock and pop sensibilities by way of a gripping story. Channeling influences like David Bowie, Tom Waits and Wilco, the moods are sprinkled with light shifts in both tone and scheme. “You can take it as far as you want when it comes to recording; it's more about restraint and to keep some air between the notes so it breathes. All the songs are self produced and recorded in my studio. I play all the instruments which gives me the freedom to build the song to my liking."
In a musical sense, I am trying to balance a great song with skillful storytelling and expansive musicality. Whether it's about growing into your body or leaving your body, these songs are a place to escape the world and my hope is that it does the same for anyone listening.
