B-Boy Wicket / Bio

B-Boy Wicket was born on September 30,1978 in San Francisco,Ca. At the age of 14, Wicket started his obsession with listening to the radio. He learned how to become a dj by imitating what he heard and would
practice at his friend’s house who had all of the equipment.
Writing rhymes to compete on station’s show “Battle of the Rappers” would also be another element of his obsession, winning 5 nights in a row.
In 1993, Wicket began experimenting with breakdancing (bboyin’).His best friend’s older brother was an old school b-boy from the 80’s and was well into his prime and Wicket would religiously study footage of their performances and practiced everyday. His skills as a b-boy progressed and was recruited by the legendary Renegade Rockers. Wicket won numerous competitions and became one of the most influential b-boys in the world. He even took his skills to Hollywood and rocked the entertainment industry, performing with artists such as Usher, Chris Brown, Christina Aguilera, Will Smith, LL Cool J and Omarion just to name a few.
Throughout Wicket’s b-boy career, he has also spent time in the recording studio, perfecting the crafts as a songwriter/producer/performer. He’s always had the drive to become a recording artist, even more so after his experiences as a back up dancer. His music background covers a wide range of genres from funk, reggae, r&b, breakbeats, house and hip hop. Wicket keeps a close ear out to several producers such as the Neptunes, Dr.Dre, Timbaland, Kanye West, Polo the Don and Swizz Beats. As he steps into the realm of becoming a recording atist, Wicket plans to deliver a mixture of uptempo, funky, street, bounce and breakbeat oriented style of tracks that will be refreshing to the mainstream.
