Through the years, sympL has explored musical genres ranging from punk rock to folk - reggae to improvisational funk, hip hop, drum-n-bass, and spoken word. No matter the style, sympL has brought his mastery of language and the undeniable passion of a restless poet to the stage, studio, and street corner for over 15 years. An underground media mogul, he has been a tireless promoter, published author, and celebrated performer.
In travels that have spanned the continental U.S., sympL has performed in countless venues - including Chicago's famed Blue Note, Athens' Georgia Theater, USC's Longstreet Theater, and Philadelphia's The Five Spot. sympL has also performed in major music festivals - including Atlanta's Illfest, Breaklanta, and Sweet Auburn Festival, Tampa's Movement, Greenville, SC's Fall for Greenville, and Charleston SC's Contagious Collaboration. sympL has shared the stage with a diverse range of international recording artists such as: Del the Funky Homosapien, Chali 2na and Akil the MC (from Jurassic 5), Das EFX, Cypress Hill, The Jungle Brothers, Souls of Mischief, Inner Circle, George Acosta, King Britt, Everyone Orchestra, Dubconscious, Nomadix, Yo'Momma's Big Fat Booty Band, Tanya Morgan, Cage, Camu-Tao, The Alchemystics, and many others.
sympL - along with his two groups, Projekt Lotus (celebrating their 10th anniversary in 2011) and the newly-formed live-drum-n-bass band, Droidmotor - have been featured on several FM radio stations - including Clemson's WSBF 88.1, Asheville's WPVM 103.5, Atlanta's WREK 91.1, and Greeville's WROQ Rock 101.
2012 proved to be a busy year for sympL. With Droidmotor, Projekt Lotus, and solo engagements - including a southeast headlining tour, spotted dates from NYC to southern Florida, and supporting Del the Funky Homosapien's tour, sympL's also completing a children's book collaboration with famed artist, Ishmael.
