Melodic rock is making a comeback in 2011 and Lost Carnival is riding the crest of the wave.
Originally formed in 1978 as Joker, Guitarists, Michael E. Coones, and Derek Roberts have reformed the band and are well on their way to bring the music of Joker back to life in a new band with a new name.
After auditioning 17 lead singers in their hometown of Salt Lake City, Matt Wilson was picked to front the band. Lance Hanna plays drums and Bruce Wilson on bass, completed the line up.
Playing some old and some new songs, the band was able to attract the attention of Mark Kendall from Great White who agreed to produce the band’s first CD.
Lost Carnival’s music has an 80’s style with a sound for today’s rock fans. They have a unique feel to the band borrowing from the old style circus and carnival look of the 1800’s. They have a live show straight out of the big top. Once you have been to a Lost Carnival show, every other rock act will seem tame in comparison.
Get ready world, the Carnival is in town
