Swedish singer/songwriter Ulrika Ölund has been touring both Scandinavia and Nashville, TN, over the last years. Her longed-for debut EP "Memorylane" was released 2008. Two years later the single "Sick And Tired" was released along with "Längtan Efter Något Större", her very first single in Swedish.
Ulrika Ölunds music can be described as singer/songwriter pop with country influences. Her music reveals a world of life, love and longing. The passion for music has always been there. She's been singing for as long as she can remember, she plays guitar and started writing her own songs at the age of 16. She's performed on national TV, national and international radio-stations and given many conserts across Sweden as well as abroad.
" I'm an undefeated dreamer and I believe that my music reflects that. I get inspiration from my surroundings, people I've met, books 'n movies and my own experiences. Words play a huge part in my music and I love colorful melodies."
Her latest single "Trains" was released in 2011 and has gotten airplay on every P4 radio-station in Sweden. Which was celebrated with the making of her very first music-video. 15 000 entries from 100 countries entered the International Songwriting Competition 2009 and Ulrika was selected as one of the semi-finalists in the Performance Category with her song "Unforgettable". 2012 Ulrika Ölund was selected once again as one of the semi-finalists, this time in the Unsigned Only Music Competition in USA among 7 000 entries from 80 countries.
