Joshua Ezewuzie (born June 15, 1992) Stage name J-Slick from Boston Massachusetts, found Hip Hop music at a young age. It became the only genre of music he listened to. Coming from a home where explicit music was not allowed, he had to acquire slick skills to listen to it and not get caught from his parents. As time went on, he started to develop a nice rapping flow. He would often freestyle to beats he heard on the radio, that were originally songs and he would come up with rhymes of his own. During middle school he was given the name lil Slick for his sly characters. At age 11, J-Slick started writing rhymes and free styling in school in front of his peers. It became something his classmates enjoyed, and were entertained by. He was often asked to rap in front of the class and middle school dance/ talent shows. The year 2007 became a breaking point for J-Slick. A tenant moved in who brought studio equipment in which J-Slick was able to record his first rap, and start an album which was never completed. After some time the tenant no longer had time to record J-Slick, so out of frustration he went and purchased his own studio equipment at age 15, and started recording and mixing his own tracks. A few classes in his sophomore year of high school helped further his skills and knowledge in recording and mixing vocals. through out the years J-Slick has been recording professional hits as well as mixing them himself. As of now J-Slick, 18 years old, has graduated high school and has recorded over 100 songs between 2009-2010 thanks to his convenient studio at home. He has released two mixtapes and two LPs are on the way. He has caught the attention of Slip n Slide records where fans can go online(http://slipnsliderecords.net/j-slick/) and vote for him to sign with slip n Slide records, The home of rick ross, plies etc. J-Slick has also started doing several shows as well as open for Young Moeys, Corey gunz with several showcases lined up for the winter of 2010.
