The Bar Pilots evolved from a chance meeting between Rob Wessels & Vince Adame. In 2007 Rob was opening for Jennifer Lynn, and met her drummer, Vince. "I remember after playing a packed house at American Cowgirls, Vince gave me his card and said 'if you ever need a drummer'..."
Fast forward to July 2010. Rob walks into a weekly blues jam in Portland and finds himself side-by-side with Vince, only now he's playing bass. Still, the groove was unmistakeable. Between the steady growl of Vince's bass, the tight vocal harmonies, and Rob's strong guitar work, the Bar Pilots were born. Performing as a three-piece or four-piece, Rob and Vince eventually landed drummer, Rod Coleman, solidifying their sound.
Recalling the magic of the '70s and '80s and cutting a large swath across the rock genres, the Bar Pilots haven't forgotten their influences. January 2015 marks the Bar Pilots' EP release available on line for streaming.
