Chase & Cole / Bio

This Season’s Color is an alternative/indie rock band from Lexington, Kentucky. Brothers Chase and Cole Clark grew up in church with long-time family friend and keyboardist Will Crawford. In early high school they met vocalist Nick Cooper through the church youth program, thereby creating what has become a core group rooted in faith, friendship, and music. Transitioning from different backgrounds in praise and worship, pop punk, and post-hardcore, the boys began writing music together in late 2008. Their first EP, “Ex Nihilo” (2010), was a blend of melodic hardcore and ambient instrumentals. In the early stages of their development, This Season’s Color played an active role in the revival of Lexington’s local music scene, and they have since inspired much of the city’s youth to start new bands.

Introducing a new sound in 2011, heavily influenced by their post-hardcore roots and newer indie/alternative interests, This Season’s Color released the first half of their two-part “Orion” EP in October of 2012. The second half was released in February of 2013. The entire EP was recorded and produced by Drew Fulk at Think Sound Studios in Greensboro, NC.

This Season’s Color has played countless regional shows and has successfully completed four self-booked tours, the extents of which range from Massachusetts to Texas. They are currently preparing to record their third EP with Drew Fulk in October of 2013, and preproduction is already in progress. The boys intend to move away from their post-hardcore past and continue breaking into the growing alternative/indie rock scene in Kentucky and abroad.
