“Most singer-songwriters use their life experience to make their lyrics feel real. Alex Siniari's unusual life so far - being homeless followed by working for Covenant House and now the Atlantic City Rescue Mission - has led the self-taught singer and guitarist to create his own niche and music for his group, ARGO, that is unlike anyone else's... Siniari avoids the somber, super-serious, singer-songwriter cliche with the help of his fellow members of ARGO, drummer Jeremy Senior and mandolinist Jeff Caraway. The out-of-the-norm music made by the trio matches Siniari's atypical lyrics... In this bastion of cover bands in southern New Jersey, Siniari only knows how to play one other song by another artist, the Beatles' "Norwegian Wood." The lack of covers and the eclecticism of ARGO's music limits where the band can play, but Siniari has used some of his live appearances to give back...”
"you guys are two of the best sounding dudes on RN, or anywhere... magic happens when you play... fantastic vocalist, who plays a mean, complex rhythm, and solos... and then..."

“The Noyes Museum Shop presents ARGO, a duet from the Atlantic City area that describes their sound as "gypsy jazz.” ARGO, consisting of Alex Siniari (vocals/guitar) and Jeff Caraway (mandolin/guitar), will play from 6-9pm at the Noyes Museum Shop located at 5 South Second St, Hammonton, NJ. Siniari’s writing style reflects his musically diverse background and features heavy tonal influence from the Byzantine chanting styles he heard while growing up in a monastery. Siniari’s met mandolin player Jeff Caraway four years ago, and since teaming up Caraway has introduced Siniari to many different styles of writing and encouraged songwriting on a variety of instruments (banjo, bass, mandolin, violin & piano). Caraway and Siniari share a love of artists like Tom Waits and Paolo Conte whose diverse styles influence ARGO's songwriting along with the sounds ingrained during Siniari's childhood. ”
