Bio

Troy grew up in the small Albertan town of Bawlf. Kevin grew up in the small Albertan town of Vauxhaull. They both ended up moving the the small Albertan city of Camrose and getting a job at the same place. After drinking large amounts of beer and listening to lots of music, they decided to write music. That's about it. Influences range from collective soul and the beatles, to metallica, machine head, trivium and a plethora of others.

About

In September 2007, an initiative was instigated to produce music, between 2 dudes. Those dudes were Troy and Kevin, and they just wanted to make some good tunes for people to enjoy. Troy spear headed the metal band, called it "Archetype," and got going on it, and Kevin started "Stale Haven," the rock band. In his spare time from work, friends, a gf, and getting drunk and gambling, Troy records songs in his dank basement. What you hear here is some "finished" and some "in the works" songs, just for the sake of making music that people might enjoy or relate to. There's no plan for a record contract or monetary incentive, all songs are free to download if you want them, although we wouldn't argue with a record contract if it was offered.

Main musical influences are Metallica, Trivium, All That Remains, The Beatles, Collective Soul, Machine Head, Lamb of God, As I Lay Dying, Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, etc.

Troy plays a PRS standard 22, Dean V-255, Tackamine g-series acoustic, a Yamaha keyboard, an Ibanez Bass, a digitech multi-effects pedal, cry baby wah pedal, and through a line 6 amp, and an Alesis DM5 drum kit.
