Tim Chilman (guitar), Matt Whitelock (bass) and Gangles (drums) team up with the war cries of vocalist Maurice Rodriguez. They've conquered the sticky carpets of Melbourne, from The Espy to The Evelyn and all points in between, supporting local heavyweights such as Engine Three Seven, Branch Arterial and Bellusira along the way. With their influences including Electric Mary, Shihad, and Chevelle, Riot In Toytown have transcended their breeding to become a thorough-bred racehorse of melodic rock – one you’ll want to ride until you die. These four expereienced muso's have known each other for years, shared bands at one time or another, all slightly or mostly crazy, and have come together to make the music that they wanted to hear. They call themselves ARABELA and they would like to welcome you to their world. Defiantly retro, ambitious, and with a cynical bite, THE CANING take their cue from the progressive rock and proto metal that ruled the charts in the early Seventies, crafting their influences into a storm of bold guitar riffs, inventive song arrangements and burning instrumental solos, fronted by a tenor rock voice of singular force and elasticity. Emerging onto Melbourne’s live music circuit in 2012, the band have just wrapped up sessions for their debut album with highly-credentialed U.S. producer Tim Gilles, with a release due in 2014. Female-fronted alternative Melbourne rock band THE HEROINES are filled with contrast. As sensual as they are abrasive, and heavy as they are soft, they combine elements from numerous genres, including rock, grunge, indie and pop, to create a sound they can call their own. And they are currently working on a new E.P. Phenomenal four-piece Melbourne rock band MARY WASHINGTON exemplify the characteristics found in modern rock and roll, drawing influences from infamous artists such as Sons of Abraham, Foo Fighters, and Blink 182. Their solid, original music serves as a platform that gives these guys the opportunity to enrapt audiences with memorable performances.
