“Message to the grrrls thinking about playing "Rock and Roll"? Make sure you stay true to yourself and what your goals are. I've found that I'm way more amazing when I'm feeling empowered, strong and determined. Also, when I'm genuinely enjoying and believe in what I'm doing. I think it's important to listen to lots of music and really try and analyze what you love about it as it will help you to write your own. Keep an open mind and try and meet new people. I'm a little shy by nature and have found this hard but there's nothing that a smile can't conquer! Don't be afraid to say hi to a band or musician and compliment them on their music when they come off stage. Or send them a message online telling them you really enjoyed their set. It's all about networking. Get your music station set up so you can hop to it when you feel like it. Else, if you don't have space try singing in the shower or finding some other place to get writing and practicing.”
