On the 10th of January we'll be back at the Cornerstone cafe in the wonderful city of Guelph. We are very excited to be playing a show together with Whitney Pea and Sarah Hamilton...I think you might want to join us for this.
We'll be hitting Mahtay cafe very shortly...and we're excited to be sharing the stage with Sarah Hamilton...you've got to hear her sing! Come and immerse yourself...3rd of January...8:30pm...
Come join us for a night of music, community, and artistic reflection with the musical and philosophical experience at the Rodman Hall, entitled Sound Suicide. Sound Suicide is a music/art show that will consist of a few short, intimate acoustic performances from artists Emma Lee Fleury, Anthony Sweet, and more. To make Sound Suicide unique and only to be looked back on through thought, we will ask the audience to not just put their phone or other technological devices on vibrate, but completely off and tuck it away where you will not be tempted to grab it. This will not only eliminate noise that would alter the concept, but it would prevent the audience from recording or taking pictures. Thus, whatever songs or music the performers acoustically project will be what David New referred to as Sound Suicide, a sound that will never be heard again the exact same way. The night will enable the listener to sit down and truly listen and connect with the music and the performer, making the event more raw and intimate. ----- Doors: 6:30pm Show: 6:45-9:30pm ----- Xprime | Niagara Falls/Welland - http://www.xprime.ca/ Emma Lee Fleury & Friends | St Catharines, ON - www.emmaleefleury.tumblr.com Anthony Sweet | St Catharines, ON - http://www.anthonysweet.com/ Whitney Pea and Laurel Minnes | St Catharines, ON - www.whitneypea.com ----- Price: Pay what you can ----- Directions to Rodman Hall: FROM QEW (TORONTO OR NIAGARA BOUND) • Take QEW and exit HWY 406 S (Thorold/Welland /Port Colborne) • Follow HWY 406 S to exit at Fourth Ave. • Turn RIGHT on Fourth Ave. • Turn LEFT onto Louth St. • Turn LEFT onto St Paul St. W. • Veer RIGHT onto St Paul Crescent. • Turn RIGHT onto Rodman Hall Drive. • Rodman Hall Art Centre will be on the LEFT.
