Pittsburgh native Anthony Rankin is taking the rock world by storm with infectious hooks, blazing guitar, and an impassioned, unmistakable voice.  That voice is the perfect vehicle for his emotional rock songs, which are propelled by a confident sense of melody and sincerely catchy song craft.  At age 22, he has already released three independent albums, the latest being The Distance, which was launched in October 2007 to rave reviews and a sold-out CD release party at Pittsburgh's Hard Rock Cafe, and followed by a Borders Books & Music sponsored solo acoustic tour through more than ten cities in the northeast US.  Produced by Rankin and Rick Witkowski, The Distance is a polished effort displaying Anthony's rare maturity as a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.  Songs like “Smoke & Mirrors,” a track that “Jon Bon Jovi might have traded his best leather pants to have penned” (says Scott Tady of the Beaver County Times) can ensure this twenty-something wunderkind is destined to make a big noise in the very near future.
