Anthony was born in Liverpool in the early 80's and has been singing since the tender age of 4. when he reached the age of 9, his voice was noticed at his local junior school and shortly afterwards was given a scholorship into the liverpool music collage. The love affair with the college did not last very long, 2 years in fact. And at the age of 12 Anthony picked up the guitar and started to teach himself to play. at the age of 15 composed the song She's not Worthy which is still played to this day! Anthony continued writing his solo material and still does, but in 2004 Anthony along with good friend Paul Humphriss and brother Michael Gliddon formed High Rising which added new styles to his ever growing repetoire.High Rising then went on to recieve great applause and tour dates all around the UK, being touted by the local and some national news papers as the next big thing.
The year 2007 seemed harder than could be imagined for all members of High Rising with family troubles brewing in the Gliddon household, the loss of a very close friend of Anthony's along with other tubulences that the year provided, High Rising went their seperate ways... now more determined than ever Anthony is back in 2008 with his solo album due for release later in the year.
