"I Drove" is one of the finest songs of the last 20 years.
The simple image it is built around--of a woman driving into the night "not to feel" is so powerful and so true, High artistry in the singer-songwriter/acoustic folk vein. I was a pop music critic for the Phila. Bulletin, LA Times and Rolling Stone back in MY day, and I know what makes songs good, bad and indifferent, and you are the real thing.
