He has over 35 years of experience in martial arts with the last 16 years devoted to the study of Dong Han Daoist Qigong, Kumbup (single blade sword training), and Oriental Medicine all under the direct supervision of Grandmaster Jiang Jing. The word Qigong (Chi Kung) is made up of two Chinese words. Qi is pronounced chee and is usually translated to mean the life force or vital-energy that flows through all things in the universe. The second word, Gong, pronounced gung, means accomplishment, or skill that is cultivated through steady practice. Together, Qigong (Chi Kung) means cultivating energy, it is a system practiced for health maintenance, healing and increasing vitality. Qigong is a way of directly experiencing and opening to the subtle energy known as Qi in oriental medicine. It connects us more deeply to the natural flow of energy around us and to the source of our aliveness. Qigong is a combination of mind, body and spirit cultivation; it opens the gates to that part of ourselves which often times lies dormant in this modern age. Through energy cultivation, people can awaken their true nature and bring healing to not only their bodies, but also to the rest of their beings. Andrew Johnson is a Singer/Songwriter who resides in Victoria B.C. Gentle but fierce, his songs, voice and lyrics draw you in and don't let go. Truly a hidden gem, Andrew Johnson will empower and inspire you. - Abraham’s music is intimate and full of sincerity. Her debut release "This Old Heart" is a collection of seductive, sentimental and admirable feeling. Abraham is a project recently adopted by Singer/Songwriter Sydney Batters of Victoria British Columbia. These songs are, as she says, “a rebirth”. Abraham seems to bring a little bit of each genre to the table. Carrying with her a blend of soulful electric folk and jazzy undertones as well as drawing upon her southern background a subtle twang. Naturally of sweet and shy nature, “This Old Heart” provides an intimate glimpse into the depths and complexities of a woman only few have truly come to know. The project itself is centred around the evolution of life, love and death. It is a journey through human connection and relationships. An exploration between the lines of beginning and ending. Backed by the sounds of booming Trumpet, subtle Violins, and emotive Piano, "This Old Heart" is decidedly human. Not only is Abraham a musician, but she is also an avid writer of plays and short stories. If you are looking for a lyrical, sentimental and romantic piece of work, look no further. Abraham is an artist on the rise who will not to be overlooked. The “This Old Heart” EP is scheduled for release on November 28th of 2014. Fallbrigade: Hailing from Victoria BC comes the folk/rock music of Fallbrigade. The band was created and founded by brother – sister duo Caleb Scott and Esther Jay in the fall of 2012. Raised in Canada, South America and Scotland the siblings formed their music out of their adventurous and eclectic upbringing. In 2013 the talented two made top 20 in Music BC’s, “Peak Performance Project”. They went on to release their first EP, “Greater North” in the fall of 2013. Feeling incomplete the band began to change and grow. Fallbrigade was joined by multi instrumentalists Robin Jones, Matthew Young and their sister Rebekah Grace. With the added members came the addition of rich stringed instruments including the cello, violin and mandolin. Their music took on a new twist of raw sound with deep lyrical weight and soaring heartfelt vocals. With strong writing and emotional themes to help connect with listeners, and their ability to offer both up-tempo melodies and warm, moving ballads, Fallbrigade is on a fast track to music’s elite playing field. Currently the band is working on their first full length album, stated to be released in 2015.
