Martijn and Vincent have know each other for ages.
Martijn born in 1992, and Vincent in 1993, passed through the same school in Maarheeze. But not in the same class.
Martijn and Ruben (born in 1991) were, however, classmates.
After attending a concert of ex-Beatle Paul McCartney in Antwerp in 2003, Vincent begged for a guitar and eventually got his first electric guitar.
A starters set, just to see if it was a fit.
After learning himself the basic principles of guitar, he started to write songs. Using “Guitar Pro” software.
Later Vincent also learnt himself to play the drums.

In 2005, Martijn also became enthusiastic. Marijn decided to start fooling around with a drum kit. The two friends called themselves “The Feedback”.
Martijn introduced Ruben to the band. Ruben played guitar, but decided to become the bass player.
In 2007, the name of the band was changed.
“Ampiphy” became a fact.
At the end of that same year the boys decided to record their first demo using their own material. In 2008 this CD called “Lonely Road” was released (and is still available for digital download). Ampiphy became a live act, performing at different venues in the Brabant & Limburg. At the end of 2008 they recorded their second CD called “Speed Demo”
Ampiphy have a broad interest in music. Ranging from Rock & Roll to Hard Rock, from Elvis to RATM, from symphonic rock to grunge, from Beatles to RHCP. From Led Zeppelin to Crowded House. Much of Ampiphy idols and influences where already active way before the Ampiphy’s themselves were born. ; -)
The setlist Ampiphy plays live consists of several Ampiphy originals and some covers.
