Divine Love’s Day Kirtan with Amitabhan and friends Saturday, February 14th ~ 7pm $10 to $15 Suggested donation Join us for an evening of thanks and praise! A collective journey from the head to the heart, using music and mantra to re-connect with the peace that is our true nature. I’m really excited to be joined by so many friends for this kirtan. We’ve got at least 6 people on response vocals, and will have Sean on tablas and Nirmada on kartals. The last few kirtans with this group have been really high energy, and really deep. Mostly mantra, some english chants and some gospel too. A lot of call and response, and a lot of room to spread out with counter melodies and harmonies for those who are so inclined. The invitation is to leave your identity at the door, and to be moved by, and drink deeply from, the loving presence that sustains all. The location for this kirtan is a gorgeous 5th floor loft overlooking the bay in Emeryville: “Mishkan Ananda (Mark's place). Mishkan, a sacred gathering space, often translated as the Tabernacle, a portable dwelling place for the divine presence. Ananda, meaning bliss or joy in Sanskrit, and the name of one of the principal disciples and a devout attendant of the Buddha.” $10 - $15 suggested donation RSVP required for address. Love is the fundamental undercurrent of all creation. As much as we align with love, we are actually aligning with reality. Our worries, plans and concerns are not reality, they are what we project onto a cosmos that is unfolding perfectly.” ~ AmiSave
