A Mighty Lion / Press

“A Mighty Lion was known until very recently as the Repeat Offenders, an original rock-reggae band with a rapidly growing following in the L/A region and beyond after more than 5 years together. Their grooves are nothing if not infectious and fiendishly catchy. After a couple of personnel changes the Repeat Offenders jettisoned their former moniker but have kept the same trademark sound that has been winning them more fans with each successive gig. They have been extending their reach lately and playing not just outside of L/A but also out of state as they build a following the old-fashioned way: through hard work, regular gigs whenever and wherever they can get them, lots of practice, and a dedication to constantly writing new material. Founding members Nick Racioppi (guitar) and Byron Malcom (bass) were joined in 2009 by Nick Mastrella on drums and in 2012 by Aaron Stone on guitar, and they cite influences as diverse as Sublime, Bob Marley and the Wailers, and State Radio.”
