ALTERED / Press

“From their basements of Northern Kentucky to cross country tours Altered tears it up wherever they play! Now ready to break out on their 2nd US tour Altered is ready to share their unique sound and style of original rock and an occasional cover, with the rest of the country. A must see LIVE band with outstanding stage presence, awesome guitars, screaming vocals and a heart pounding beat, all guaranteed to melt your face off and leave your ears ringing the next day! ”

“Roaring in with the force of a locomotive is Cincinnati, Ohio’s Altered, one of the latest rock bands tearing their way through the Midwestern music scene. Built from a solid hard rock foundation and topped off with scintillating guitar solos, this five-piece continues to make waves each and every time they take the stage. Dripping with attitude and confidence, Altered makes their presence known in each city they visit, while continuing to tour the country and spread their musical prowess. Taking cues from 90s hard rock as well as traditional metal hooks, they churn out a style of no frills rock which keeps the fans coming back for more. Driven by an impressive initial collection of songs, as well as their first single “Just Another Day,” the band is working as hard as ever to reach new heights.”

"Altered is a band from Atwood, Kentucky (about 20 miles south of the Nati). These rough-around-the-edges guys aren’t exactly breaking musical barriers but they bring to the table an old-school heavy metal vibe, sprinkled with contemporary flourishes. Right from the start of the album it is clear that 80’s and 90’s metal still lives within Altered. These Kentucky boys sound like they should be taking whiskey body shots off strippers on Sunset Boulavard in Cali, with their wah-wah laden guitar solos and sludgy riffing that call to mind Alice In Chains mixed with Metallica and Motley Crue"

“THEY ROLLED UP IN THERE RV,ENTERED THE ROOM WITH LOTS OF ATTITUDE,AND BEGAN RATTLING THE RAFTERS FROM THEIR OPENING RIFFS,KILLER HEAVY ALL-ORIGINAL STUFF,WITH A TASTY COVER FROM SLIPKNOT THROWN IN THE MIX TO MAKE SURE OUR EARS WERE RINGING.OUTSTANDING SHOWMANSHIP DUELING LEAD GUITARS SCREAMING VOCALS! THEY HAVE A SHOW COMING UP AT THE MADISON THEATER GO SEE THEM!!”

“hey babes, i dont know how long you will by staying in Hollywood, but if looking for good eating: try Pinks. World famous hot dogs, just a few blocks down from the Whiskey on corner of N La Brea and Melrose. All the night clubs on Sunset are good, ie. House of Blues, Viper Room. Just remember: avoid Santa Monica Blvd. Unless you really want to test if you can tell who's man or woman. Wish I could be out there with ya. Let me know if you need more info on good digs. Oh and pack all your cigs, way to effin expensive out there. Cant wait till May 1st :) LUVS”

“Hey, I'm older (43) but am a huge fan of heavy music. I live in Florence and found you by driving past your house and seeing your tour bus parked outside. I can;t believe there is finally a great metal band here in Cincy. It's been awhile. And THANK YOU for not having the NuMetal vocals that sounds like the Cookie Monster is singing. From what I've heard you guys have serious potential to make it beyond local status. I was in bands in the 80s and have been playing guitar for over 25 years so this isn't idle talk. You are great and I hope to hear/see more from you in the future. KEEP ROCKING!!!!!!!”
