Q: I assume I Had A Lover I Thought Was My Own is a traditional song,but you know what happens when you assume,did you write it?BTW most excellent!
A: Thank you so much, I love that you thought it had been a traditional song. It is indeed an age old tale, woman thinks man loves only her- turns out she is just one of many. It was the first song I ever wrote after I tuned my guitar to DADGAD, & I recorded it just two weeks later for the album Mumblin' Sue.
