When i started singing, my voice had no character to it. At the time i was listenin to heavy metal so i started to develop my voice like that. This obviously made my voice quite heavy and guttering; not the kind you'd expect for an acoustic act. However i've been told that having a "metallica voice" on top of soft music makes an interesting contrast. Not sure if thats true but it's what i've been told :) have a listen and see if you agree or not. Thanks :) xx

| Rallooo!!!! I'm Ali apparantly. Anyone that knows me knows that i'm not the most open or sensitve person. In fact a lot of people refer to me as Ali The Bastard. However everyone needs their releases and thats sorta the point of this music. It's an attempt to open up and let people know who i actually am. Some would say my music is sappy and emo cuz it's about quite personal stuff to me, but i suppose it has to be cuz the only time i ever allow myself to appear vunerable is through my music. However i also do it cuz it's good fun and my matey who records me is an absolute legend to work with. In fact, check out his music at www.reverbnation.com/p08. it's tasty stuff. Anyway, even though it can be a bit of a chore to put all my feelings into song, i really enjoy doing it and i hope you enjoy listening to it :) |
I'm a sound engineer at the university of kent, where i'm currently working with loads of musicians who are a great influence to me. Often performing in SU Bars, but looking to take my music somewhere else. So if you want me to play somewhere then I would be more than happy to do so :) Currently working on recording an album called 'Anachronism' which shall be released Spring 2009. Wokring with a fellow sound engineer called Arjen Van Den Berg who is also on my course and if you're looking for someone to record and produce your work i would always strongly recomend him. I'm rubbish at writing about myself so.....toodle pip :) |
