"Hey There Everyone,
Most people just call me Madsen or other names I'm not letting my mother hear.
The AM Band is an offshoot of my main group, The Divorcees (www.thedivorcees.com). In fact, a lot of the guys are in it, plus appearances from all sorts of my fellow pickers. We're a cover band of hardcore tourpigs just looking for a damn good excuse to get wasted with all our country heroes.
Sometimes, I just go it alone, just me and my trusty old flattop 'Fluffy' (don't ask) singing old Marty Robbins and Hank Snow tunes...other times I'll get together with a few pals like Jens Jeppesen and bust out some badass bluegrass...or I'll get a whole crew of honky tonkers together and rough up the place.
So if you like your country extra crispy, then you'll dig this show. It's all your favorite straight up country - from Willie and Waylon...all three Hanks...a couple Johnny's...one Dwight...and some new fellas like Toby and Brad.
The AM Band plays all over the Maritimes, so if you're from my neck of the woods, give a shout and tune in!
