My musical adventures began when I was six, with compulsory recorder lessons at infants school. Lessons were lead by our Headmistress, Miss Bailey and we were all so frightened of her we didn't dare get it wrong. My first guitar was a no-name steel string box with an unbelievably high action when I was 14, and my first electric guitar turned up for my 16th birthday. I always liked Classical Guitar, and bought my first nylon string guitar when I was 17 having heard Mason Williams' Classical Gas on the radio. In and out of a few bands over the years, I found myself 38 and single and decided to pick up my axe again. I went the Classical route because I had time and it was a very enjoyable way to pass a few hours.

These days I have my Classical Guitar Grade 8 (with a Distinction, no less) and I enjoy my playing as much as ever.
