Bio

Affinke - Bronx, N.Y. based, is an Urban Latino Group; this band is a 3 piece collaborative effort that performs all original material, along with a few popular covers remixed into an urban Latino trend setting sound that offers listeners a combination of musical genres such as Hip/Hop and R&B fused with Merengue and other popular genres of Latin Tropical Music Today. The all original sound is driven by their highly skilled production and song writing abilities. Their music is catchy, interesting, and is very rhythm oriented.
The group’s sound has been described as a new generation in a class of itself.

Goals

Summary

With the release of their upcoming studio project Titled “Culturama”, which is a combination of different cultures and genres of music. Culturama was based off a cartoon series called Futurama in which that concept has been adapted to Affinke’s structure due to the fact that musically they are from another planet. Affinke has an important marketing vehicle to begin and continue working with the following goals in mind.

· Write, produce, distribute, and perform their unique trendsetting sound combined with their ability to captivate a broad multi-diverse fan base.

· Open for future regional, national and international touring.

Mission statement

Affinke has a mission statement which they promote and embrace. The mission is to provide second and third generation Latino’s in America a fusion of their up bringing by combining urban hip/hop and R&B with traditional Latin Tropical sound and a twist of their Bronx urban NY style for their target audience to embrace and relate to.

Affinke’s Scheduled completion of their first studio Album titled “Culturama” is due to be released in late 2009. The album will include an array of styles all mainly influenced by their urban upbringing fused with many different genres of music such as Bachata, Merengue, Salsa, Reggae; Hip hop and R&B.

K-Xilo Born Eduardo Garcia, age 20 of Dominican Descendent; Bronx Native.

K- Xilo is a singer, rapper and producer that has evolved into several avenues of production with other producing partner and band member Tory Papi. Their collaborated productions includes well known shows and movies such as Hogan Knows Best, America’s Next Top Model, Room Raiders, Pimp My Ride and Sex in the City (The Movie) just to name a few.

K-Xilo at the tender age of 20 brings an element to Affinke like no other with his solid production background and creative fusion of genres that are sure to captivate any audience.

Dre born Andre Lara, Age 28 of Columbian Descendent; Bronx Native.

Dre is a composer and singer with a very distinctive way to urbanize his harmonies into solid hits. His creative concepts has assured many hits for Toby Love and Affinke's long resume of studio projects and is currently working on the soon to be released "Culturama" Album for Affinke.

Tory Papi born Jonaty Garcia, Age 28 of Dominican Descendent; Bronx Native.

Tory Papi is a singer, rapper and a key element to Affinke’s production and engineering. He brings an urban twist with his spanglish rap style lyrics and charismatic flow.

Affinke is living and breathing the creation of their unique sound led by their combined cultivated song writing and solid production abilities.
