Small Town Get Up has created an album that addresses the upbeat atmosphere the average person yearns for from music, but maintains the craft and creative dignity that only talented musicians can create. I only hope this album finds itself in heavy rotation somewhere. In many ways, New Noise is a quintessential summer album symbolizing the embracement of all the fun things in our life." -- Lithium Magazine "As a straight up indie rock band Small Town Get Up would be just fine but with those big horns involved and that sense of Ska fun these guys really take things to another level. Infectious stuff." -- Listenwithmonger + ADAMS MIND Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/AdamsMind Website: https://www.adamsmind.ca/ Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/adamsmindska "Adam’s Mind is a 6 piece two-tone ska/punk/reggae band from Toronto Ontario. Comprised of melodic vocal harmonies, crafted chord progressions, key changes, walking bass lines, and a horn section – Adam’s Mind will float the boat of any music nerd. Fans of Big D and the Kids Table, The Planet Smashers, Mustard Plug, NOFX, Sublime, Bob Marley and The Specials should definitely check them out." + JONESIN' facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheJonesinn bandcamp: http://jonesinn.bandcamp.com/ + 1 BAND TBA
Lindsay Ribfest August 14-17, 2014, Old Mill Park, Lindsay. Ribs, chili, music, shopping, an outdoor movie, a Boat Poker Run, crafts for the kids, & an Antique Boat Show! The Lindsay Ribfest is hosted annual by local non-profit organization, Young's Community Foundation, whose goal is to raise needed funds for local charities. Established in 2009, Young's Community Foundation focuses on the annual Ribfest, but will assist other non-profits/charities with promoting their events, or hosting smaller events to benefit the community and its members throughout the year. Our goal is to make Ribfest an enjoyable event for the entire family and love feedback from our community in regards to our mini-event planning. Within Ribfest itself, we try to have a wide range of smaller activities that can appeal to everyone and are a minimal cost to participate. Our main venue is free, so bring everyone you know in August, to the Old Mill Park and enjoy the music, vendors, and our beautiful waterways! Being a non-profit, Young's Community Foundation relies heavily on sponsorships, grants, and volunteers.
